to make (bake?) these: Dark Chocolate Almond Butter Cups. Who wouldn’t want them? Dark chocolate + almond butter = world peace.

I had lofty intentions to make these for my office’s Valentine’s Day pot luck lunch this Friday. Unfortunately, life has gotten in the way, and this week in order to keep myself sane I need to cut loftily-intended projects from my schedule.

They still look like the most amazingly delicious desert to me, and I’m determined to make them before the end of the month, but in the meantime I wanted to share, because I feel like eating these will make the world a better place.

So try them out and let me know how it goes! Thanks to PattyCake.ca for sharing the recipe!

Let me preface this post by saying that I am in no way being compensated by Edible Arrangements for making this post (although I wish I was!) – they are just so awesome I’ve felt the need to share.

Edible Arrangements offer fresh baskets of fruit pieces dipped in chocolate. The thing that makes them so very very yummy is the fruit they pick is always extremely fresh and high quality, also just good choices like pineapple, strawberries, bananas and grapes. The second element is that they use really high quality chocolate. It’s a nice mix of fresh and healthy alongside sweet and indulgent. This is why it’s my number one favorite gift to send, better than flowers, chocolates, traditional fruit and gift baskets, etc.

Berry Chocolate Bouquet® with Dipped Daisies® and Dipped Bananas

I first heard about them when J sent me a surprise basket to my office for our first anniversary. In the past month I’ve sent one to my friend who lives in Providence for her birthday, and to my mum as a get well wish. They aren’t cheap, but you can pick a nice arrangement for under $65, taxes and delivery included. You can also usually find a coupon code for them somewhere to get a $5 or $10 discount.

So keep these guys in mind the next time to you want send someone a little something – perfect for the holiday season or any other occasion. Sweet!
